The majority shareholder of Clínica Baviera, S.A. is Aier Eye International Europe, S.L.U.
Aier Eye International Europe, S.L.U. is a subsidiary of Aier Eye International Hong Kong, which in turn is part of the Aier Eye Hospital Group, Co., Ltd.
Aier Eye Hospital Group is a global group of eye hospitals specialising in these services and is also the first medical institution to be listed in China. The forecast for 2019 is that Aier Eye Hospital Group will have around 270 specialised ophthalmology clinics in 30 provinces in China, covering 70% of the insured population throughout the country. This results in over 6.5 million outpatient visits annually.
In August 2017 Aier Eye International Europe, S.L.U acquired 86.83% of the shares of Clínica Baviera, one of the largest ophthalmology chains in Europe. By acquiring this share percentage, the company has become the world’s largest network of ophthalmology clinics, with a presence in Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
